Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are actually open and will close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home by using a combined gross home income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic income would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the nsfas login Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Id nsfas check Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should nsfas check apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
